Torchmaster Mod 1.16.4/1.12.2/1.10.2 adds a unique torch that can block mobs from spawning in a configurable radius. Let’s find out how it works in recent versions now!
It is a mod whose original idea comes from RWTema (Extra Utilities 1).
Warnings! There is a popular problem with Astral Sorcery. Rituals cannot run when putting the Feral Flare Lantern next to them.
Notes! We have a torch that is said to only prevent “natural” spawning from low light levels. In fact, Mob Spawners still run.
The mod is tested with:
- Vanilla Allow Mob Spawner
- EnderIO Allow Powered Spawner
- Extra Utilities 2 Allow Resturbed Spawner
- Grimoir of Gaia Block natural Spawn
They are releases that relate to Torchmaster.
It added another block called The Terrain Lighter. It requires fuel, torches, Redstone signal.
It’s helpful to light up the zone while building the home in the early game.
It gave players the Dread Lamp. It’s a lamp, working like the mega torch. It stops the natural spawn of passive mobs. Meanwhile, breeding animals still live inside the running volume.
It has a bigger range to lower annoyances such as squid swarms around the ocean base.
Mega torches can burn for a certain amount of time.
Modified the method the torch performs. These can exist individually. That fixes an uncommon edge case issues when mobs could appear close by the torch positions.
